One Lovely Blog Award

The Author

Jesica Williams

Since 2012, I’ve been creating digital wellness guides and researching natural beauty products, HIIT workouts, functional exercises, body positivity, self love, and tips helping you explore wellness and feel good.

Welcome to this post: One Lovely Blog Award.

All of this is new to me, but I’m doing my best to keep up!

I was graciously nominated by Melanie from slowdownslowly.wordpress.com for the Lovely Blog Award! Thank you!!

Rules of acceptance:

  • Thank the person/people who nominated you and link back to them in your post.
  • Share seven possibly unknown things about yourself. -Nominate fifteen or so bloggers you admire.
  • Contact the chosen bloggers to let them know and link back to them.

Here are seven things you may not know about me:

1. Although I played collegiate volleyball, soccer was my first sport since my days as a toddler.

2. I have monkey toes, they are nearly a second set of hands.

3. I have lived several states apart from my parents and brother while I’ve been away at college–and the homesickness is palpable.

4. Favorite Artist: Billy Joel.

5. I have a weakness for wasabi, I put it on nearly every plate of eggs I eat.

6. I didn’t get my driver’s license until the beginning of this year at age 24. I have used either my bicycle or my legs to commute while in college.

7. I started this blog on a whim, but am increasingly excited to share the knowledge I have accrued through years as an athlete and nutrition-conscious individual.

These are some EXCELLENT blogs that I follow (and you should, too!). I’ve already learned alot from these individuals!

    • That’s SO cool!! I bet living in several places has made you good at adapting to new surroundings. I’ve lived in Florida, Texas, Indiana, and New Jersey– I feel like I’ve grown so much from living in each place! So, in a way, it’s quite a blessing.

It’s a dream of mine to see Billy Joel live! LUCKY!! I bet that was unforgettable–like you said.

Thanks for sharing…..so neat to meet wonderful bloggers like you via the internet! πŸ™‚

  4. oh the toes. I’ll join the chorus, my toes are prehensile and dad reckons I could climb a pole with no hands…deadpan expression. My partner hates me moving them because he reckons my finger toes scare him. I bet he just wishes he could pick the bath mat up without bending like me!
And you so deserve this award, you and your pink-hot blog. I love Billy Joel as well, I have a best of album of his that a LOT of play here whilst I’m blogging or having a few sparkling wines!
Keep up your blogging, I’m glad you’ve found a passion for it even though it started on a whim.
I will have to go through your list of nominees! I will never get off the computer, I think I have to quit my job πŸ™‚

    • Hahahahaa! You might have me beat then with the toes–mine are mainly long and skinny–they just look funny on me. Glad to hear Billy is getting some air time! I feel like if I get too wrapped up I won’t leave the computer either! Thank you so much for the encouragement an here’s to finding balance!! πŸ™‚

  5. Monkey toes – that’s awesome!! I think it’s great that you played soccer your whole life, I’ll admit I don’t even know how to play. πŸ™‚ I’m no good at team sports like that. πŸ™‚ Thanks for the nomination!!
