Naturopathica Holistic Skincare Review

 About:

Naturopathica is a company I was excited to learn about because of how unique their products are, in the sense that they contain some interesting, quality ingredients and product names. Here is a bit about the Naturopathica Holistic Health brand:

“Nearly two decades ago, clinical esthetician, aromatherapist and herbalist Barbara Close realized that clients at her healing Arts Center & Spa struggled to find the ideal anti-aging skin care solution – products that delivered real results and were safe enough even for sensitized skin.

Inspired by the insight that chronic inflammation and irritation are at the heart of aging and weakened skin, Barbara created NATUROPATHICA – a breakthrough line of high performance skin care made with only the best natural and active ingredients that are proven effective, non-irritating and 100% good for the skin.

A natural skin care pioneer was born.

‘Every ingredient in my formulas – from Aloe Vera to Glycolic Acid to Plant Stem Cells – has a purpose,” she explains. “Whether it prevents, protects, repairs or adds a scent, every ingredient in my formulas works in harmony with the skin’s anti-aging process to restore healthier, younger-looking skin.’

Today, with over three million treatments performed in leading spas across the country, NATUROPATHICA has a loyal following among both estheticians and consumers who trust Barbara’s authentic approach to beauty and well-being.

Our Founder & CEO Barbara Close:

‘I founded my healing arts center over 15 years ago, with the goal to help people attain optimal well-being. I soon realized, however, that my challenge is to educate people about healthy skin care in a world where the beauty industry is surrounded with hype and misinformation. Not only are many “natural” product lines filled with synthetic ingredients, but many of these ingredients are leading allergens and irritants, making the term “skin care” a complete paradox.

My experience is that consumers want safe skin care that really works. Whatever your concern, as a clinical esthetician and product formulator I strive to create authentic tools that deliver results.

Of course as an aromatherapist and herbalist, I want our products to provide a sensorial experience as well. We seek to buy our raw materials in small batches from artisans, herbalists and local farmers, many of whom I know by name. I invite you to twist open one of our signature blue bottles and enjoy the aromatic power of our premium botanical ingredients.’

— Naturopathica Founder, Barbara Close.

Pumpkin Purifying Enyzme Peel

Naturopathica’s Description:

“Formulated for dull or congested skin, this refining mask exfoliates with pumpkin enzymes to promote a clear and radiant complexion.

Ingredient List

My Description & Thoughts:

This product had me at pumpkin. I love the aroma and texture of pumpkin–sounds perfect for a skin treatment. It is easy to apply to skin and has a soothing characteristic about it. Some of my favorite masks/peels are those that don’t leave my skin begging for moisture. This is one of those great ones that replenishes and clears my skin without stripping it of too much hydration. It smells good enough to eat! This brand is obviously ingredient conscious and includes components in their skin care products that are truly beneficial.

Vitamin C Revitalizing Complex

Naturopathica’s Description:

“A powerful antioxidant blend of Vitamins A, C and E is combined with Kudzu to help reduce the visible signs of aging.

Ingredient List

My Description & Thoughts:

The weight of this Vitamin C complex is absolutely ideal for a post-cleansing product. I applied this promptly after washing my face and felt like it added just the right amount of moisture back into my skin without leaving it goopy or oily feeling. It smells fresh and slightly citrusy and leaves an enjoyable, energizing scent on your face. Clean, nourishing ingredient list like all of Naturopathica’s products. Great skin treatment here that could serve as a moisturizer or light/medium strength serum.

Plant Stem Cell Serum

Naturopathica’s Description:

“A powerful combination of protective and corrective antioxidants that help restore softer, smoother, more radiant-looking skin. Echinacea boosts new collagen synthesis to firm, rejuvenate and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Butterfly Bush protects the skin, preventing premature aging from harmful UVs and pollutants. Ecocert-certified organic.

Ingredient List

* Ingredients issued from Organic Agriculture
100% of the total of the ingredients are of natural origin
11.18 % of the total ingredients proceed from Organic Farming.”

My Description & Thoughts:

Naturopathica is making it feel like you’re applying the “pure essence of plants” to your face with this product. Even though it is made with several great ingredients, it feels and smells like a simple concoction that doesn’t give off much of an aroma–just lots of fresh, airy goodness.

Overall, very impressed with this skincare line and their artistry in creating organic, plant based, nourishing skin products.

*These complimentary products have been generously provided to me for the purpose of trying them in order to write a review on my experience.

Freegirl Skincare Made Safe Review

I had a good feeling about this brand after meeting the founders and then another good-feeling-wave after reading the first ingredient list. It’s evident that they trust and utilize plants to elevate the health of skin. As a plant nerd, herbalism junkie, and superfood geek, I really revere this. It fully resonates and aligns with what I look for in skincare.
