AEOS Organic Skin Care & Makeup Review

Welcome to this post: AEOS Organic Skincare Makeup Review.

AEOS Organic Skincare Makeup Review

AEOS is such a unique brand to me, I am finding. This is mainly because they use crystal essences to create the tint & color of each product. I’ve never heard of this before and am fascinated by it. I am impressed by the attention to ingredients used in AEOS products–it really seems like they go the extra mile. When a brand has an initial commitment to high quality ingredients across the board, I am willing and eager to try any of their products. In this review, most of the products have similar ingredients lists in which they are comprised of chemical free, natural and organic ingredients.

As you read the ingredient lists, you might see some long words that you don’t recognize. Most of the time, this is not a good sign. However,  upon further scrutiny, I have discovered that in this case, they are fancy words for organic compounds found in various plants.

The full explanation behind these products is expansive, so here is some top-to-bottom information that AEOS (Active Energised Organic Skincare) provides to describe all of it to their customers:

AEOS PHILOSOPHY

Outside In. Inside Out…the Synergies of Beauty

Luxurious…nourishing…soothing…the radiance and the scent of all a woman can be. When you think of AEOS, feel. For what AEOS offers to beauty is more than skin deep. The extraordinary possibility at the heart of this skincare homage to total natural beauty is to experience how what we put on our skin can quicken and reveal the mysteries of beauty within.

The secret is in the soil which has given AEOS the beauty of its own “within”. Beginning with the care of the earth through biodynamic farming on our own lands, AEOS is created with extracts and essential oils of herbs and plants cultivated in such a way that they bring new life and vitality to the soil in which they grow. This in turn nourishes and strengthens the immune systems of the plants, and when harvested they are further energized with the resonances of crystal s and minerals. Ten years of development have gone into composing the delicate balance of nature with itself, so that the sum of the whole enlivens and magnifies all the beautiful parts. Thus inherent in AEOS are the life-giving qualities that translate not only to the innermost layers of skin but also support the health and well-being of our own inner natures.

Completely organic natural skincare with no toxic chemicals or synthetics…innovative harvesting of essential oils…cutting edge skincare technology using tocopherols (Vitamin E) from natural sources…a unique use of the ancient spelt grain grown on our Demeter-certified biodynamic farm…the active energies of crystals and minerals…all gathered and orchestrated with the intention to be used for the greater good in the creation of an atmosphere of inner and outer radiance.

For the woman seeking her own mystery and beauty. For a new world waiting for us to bring more of who we are into being. Dynamic. Exceptional. Even revolutionary.

ABOUT AEOS

A healthy glowing complexion indicates a level of well-being, not just beauty.

The AEOS range brings us the opportunity to re-define and re-assess our approach to skincare through an innovative three phase system which amplifies and encapsulates the living energy of the natural ingredients it contains. AEOS products contain natural, organic and biodynamic plant extracts, essences and essential oils, as well as spagyric tinctures of crystal energies, and the waveforms of colour.

This is unique in the history of skincare. Through AEOS products we combine and include the alchemical techniques of the ancients, along with cutting edge skincare formulas, revolutionary for this time, for those of you who wish to nurture and care for yourself in a more meaningful way.

ACTIVE

This refers to the fact that the ingredients used in the products are ‘alive’. They have been sourced from soil which has been nourished and activatedfor optimal performance. In addition, AEOS contains many effective ingredients that are known for their active properties, e.g. plant extracts, essential oils, enzymes etc. We use the best possible raw materials to create products that offer the best potential for optimal results in the care and nourishment of your skin.

ENERGISED

AURA-SOMA®(manufacturer of AEOS) uses its unique energising process to enhance each element contained within the AEOS products. This process offers additional support for our overall well-being. The primary intention within all the products is that they will only activate for the ‘greater good’ of the person using the products.

ORGANIC

The source of the ingredients used in AEOS is of the utmost importance to us. At Shire Farm, our own biodynamic (Demeter certified) farm, we grow as much as we can to be used in our products, sourcing other ingredients from organic and biodynamic farms across the world. Plants grown using these methods have more vitality and a profoundly positive effect on the raw materials produced from them. Embracing this holistic approach from our farming, sourcing of materials, through to creating these skincare preparations, enhances our philosophy – look after the soil, feed the skin, nourish the soul.”

the whole is greater than the sum of its parts Aristotle 384BC – 322BC

The sum of the parts (or ingredients) within each AEOS product is more effective than any of the parts (or ingredients) individually. Whilst we suggest a few key ingredients to highlight the way in which they may be effective, the important thing to remember is that these are part of a product that has been brought together with great care and awareness of the way in which all the different aspects from the three kingdoms come together to be most effective. (The mineral kingdom of crystals and gems; the vegetable kingdom of herbs, plants and trees; and the hue-man kingdom that pertains to the perception of light and colour).

Everything that goes into the final product is evaluated both energetically and according to its resonant waveform. It is this incredible attention to detail and the underlying understanding of the way in which the ingredients in their various waveforms are compatible that makes AEOS unique on yet another level.

SOURCE OF INGREDIENTS

The source of the ingredients used in AEOS is of the utmost importance to us. At Shire Farm, our (Demeter-certified) biodynamic farm, we grow as much as we can to be used in our products, sourcing other ingredients from organic and biodynamic farms across the world. Our sustained commitment to biodynamic farming standards means that we honor the Being of each plant used within the AEOS range. This process begins with balancing the different aspects of the soil, which then encourages increased strength and vitality within the plants. This attention means that when the plant is harvested, its energy force has been nourished through the well-tended soil so that it can provide us with its optimal quality and essence for use within the products, which in turn offers optimal regenerative opportunities for the skin. It is a gift from nature to us.

SPELT OIL

All AEOS skincare products contain pure biodynamic spelt oil, that is grown and harvested on the Aura-Soma® (Demeter-certified) biodynamic farm in Lincolnshire, and extracted using supercritical CO2 extraction to maintain the full properties of the oils. Spelt is an ancient cousin of modern wheat and is bursting with vitamins and proteins. Due to the way in which the plant itself is grown, the spelt as an ingredient is very ‘available’ to the skin for optimal absorption. Our spelt oil is rich in natural Vitamin E and essential fatty acids and boasts excellent antioxidant, moisturising and regenerative properties. As a result it may be particularly beneficial for prematurely ageing, very dry skin or when the skin is subject to harsh environments or extreme changes in temperature. Spelt oil has also been reported to help those with skin conditions such as eczema.

BIODYNAMICS

bio

Biodynamic farming is one of the most ethical and sustainable forms of agriculture in existence. It excludes the use of artificial fertilizers and pesticides and relies on the natural interdependence between all the different components of the farm to create a self-sustaining, balanced and harmonious environment.

At the Aura-Soma® (Demeter-certified) biodynamic farm in the Lincolnshire Wolds, we grow and harvest as much as we can to be used in the AEOS skincare products, sourcing other ingredients from organic and biodynamic farms across the world.

Our sustained commitment to biodynamic farming standards means that we honour the Being of each plant used within the AEOS range. This process begins with balancing the different aspects of the soil, which then encourages increased strength and vitality within the plants. This attention means that when the plant is harvested, its energy force has been nourished through the well tended soil so that it can provide us with its optimal quality and essence for use within the products, which in turn offers optimal regenerative opportunities for the skin. It is a gift from nature to us.

In the biodynamic ecosystem, man is a conscious and responsible steward, recognising and nurturing the beneficial aspects and interdependence of all these diverse elements for the optimum benefit of the whole.

COLOUR SIGNIFICANCE

All colours in AEOS products are 100% natural and plant derived.

Vicky Wall, the founder and innovator of the Aura-Soma® Colour-Care-System® used to say – ‘The greater guide is within’. This, along with the key phrase in Aura-Soma – ‘You are the colours you choose and these reflect your Being’s needs’ gives us the confidence to choose which products are the most suitable for us as unique individuals.

Whatever colour combination of products you choose are those that are called for to help balance the condition of your skin at a deep level, rather than basing skin care choices by looking at your skin condition on a superficial level.

sc-pink

Pink is essentially the colour of kindness, caring, warmth – love. We could all benefit from a little more love and caring. Most of us do not allow ourselves the time or space to care for ourselves and more usually that caring energy is directed outwardly towards others – friends, family, loved ones. That of course, is commendable, but there does come a point when perhaps one needs to recognize that we need to replenish that cup of caring and love within ourselves, perhaps to be kind to ourselves, in order to be able to continue offering that same quality to those we care about. If we really would like to look after ourselves, whether that is just our skincare, or through consideration of our whole being, the pink range of products may assist in encouraging and replenishing those pink qualities within oneself. AEOS pink products are enhanced with the crystal essences of fire opal, rose quartz and rubelite.

sc-blue

Blue speaks to us of the qualities of peace, serenity and nurturing, qualities that we all have need of in the hustle and bustle of every day life. Our days are full of ‘busy-ness’ and extending out of ourselves. The blue gives an opportunity to ‘re-group’ and find some stillness within. Many people feel the need to be more at peace with themselves and their situations/circumstances, and the blue may help to find that aspect. Due to its calming effect the blue range is ideal to use if one feels that their need is for more peace and to develop a more calm approach to their daily activities. AEOS blue products are enhanced with the crystal essences of amethyst, turquoise and emerald.

sc-yellow

The yellow associations are those of self confidence, the feel good associations with a sunny day – joy! The yellow is a lovely balance to the nervous system to encourage a more centred way of being and to bring in happiness. The yellow AEOS products have two different crystal essence blends which gives rise to the energetic differences between the harmonising and awakening products. The Harmonising Body Lotion is enhanced with sapphire, turquoise and clear quartz, whilst the Awakening contains fire opal, calcite and zincite.

SPAGYRIC TINCTURES

Spagyric tinctures are liquid gems and crystals prepared specifically for Aura-Soma® Products Ltd, according to an ancient holistic alchemic process, which views body, soul and spirit as a balanced unity.

Spagyric refers to the process of separation, purification and re-combining of materials – fundamental alchemical techniques used for the preparation of substances. By separation and parting of the original substance into its diverse components, the useful is first separated from the useless. Using a specific method of new composition, the pure and useful components are combined together again. The spagyric tincture manufactured in this manner contains the beneficial substances in refined form and is thus more therapeutically effective than the original substance.

Spagyric tinctures are not effective because of their ingredients; rather, they are effective because of the metaphysical powers released by the manufacturing process. Spagyric is alchemy in practice and adheres to alchemical laws practiced by Hippocrates, the Father of Modern Medicine. By bringing together the alchemical techniques of the ancients along with cutting edge skincare formulas, the AEOS products provide a medium through which these tinctures may have a direct effect on the human energy field. It is a truly unique approach to skincare and general well-being.”

My Description & Thoughts:

I would classify this product (in regards to consistency as somewhere in between a cream and a serum. I use it right after cleansing.

My Description & Thoughts:

Gentle exfoliants are a big part of my daily beauty routine because my skin tends to accumulate a lot of “gunk” with constant sweaty workouts and runs outside in the heat. Having a little extra grittiness in my cleanser is something I like a prefer to use once a day.

This exfoliant is great–it does the job of getting the grime off of my skin but its too harshly abrasive. It leaves my skin feeling refreshed and clean.

AEOS02B

Gentle Cleansing Lotion

AEOS Skin Care’s Description:

“A gentle cleanser containing a blend of organic and biodynamic essential oils, plant extracts and the energies of gems and crystals to assist in the removal of make-up and impurities whilst helping to maintain the delicate moisture balance of the skin. Application with water stimulates the active ingredients from plant extracts and fruit oils.

Aqua (Water), Glycerin, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Cetearyl Olivate, Sorbitan Olivate, Rosa Damascena (Rose) Flower Water, Gluconolactone, Sodium Benzoate, Cetyl Palmitate, Sorbitan Palmitate, Triticum Spelta (Spelt) Germ Extract, Aloe Barbadensis Flower Extract, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Extract, Rosa Centifolia (Rose) Flower Extract, Anthemis Noblis (Chamomile) Flower Extract, Squalane (Vegetable), Guaiazulene, Hamamelis Virginiana (Witch Hazel) Distillate, Arginine, Pelargonium Graveolens (Rose Geranium) Flower Oil, Rose Flower Oil, Ascorbic Acid, Citrus Grandis (Grapefruit) Peel Oil, Rosa Canina (Rosehip) Fruit Oil, Argania Spinosa (Argan) Oil, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Flower Oil, Arnica Montana Flower Extract, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Oil, Rose Quartz Essence, Clear Quartz Essence, Quartz (Chalcedone) Essence, Sapphire Essence, Amethyst Essence, Turquoise Essence, Limonene*, Linalool*, Geraniol*, Citronellol*, Benzyl Alcohol*.
*From Natural Essential Oils.”

My Description & Thoughts:

From my experience, cleansing lotions do a great job of providing a very gentle clean. They borderline are meant to give skin a hydrating boost, versus cleaning skin thoroughly.

That said, this cleansing lotion is great when my skin is just mildly dirty and needs a brief wash, maybe when I don’t have post-workout sweat all over my facial skin.

My Description & Thoughts:

I use a product like this as an “oil mask” when my skin gets dry and needs a restoration of moisture. I apply it for about 5 minutes, then wash off with warm water.

My Description & Thoughts:

A light, pure, liquify serum that is perfect for use in the morning or evening. It isn’t super heavy on skin like some serums can be. The consistency helps it apply evenly to skin. I use it all over my face and neck–I’ll mix this product into my routine to replace my moisturizer and facial conditioner.

Illuminator

AEOS Skin Care’s Description:

“A sheer, complexion enhancer that instantly adds radiance to the face creating a healthy glowing look and luminosity.

Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Cera Alba (Beeswax), Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil, Castor Isostearate Succinate, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Triticum Spelta (Spelt) Germ Oil, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Citrus Sinensis (Orange) Oil, Vanilla Planifolia (Vanilla) Extract, Euphorbia Cerifera (Candelilla) Wax,

Tocopherol, Lauroyl Lysine, Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891), Silicon Dioxide, Iron Oxide (CI 77491, 77493, 77499), Mica.”

My Description & Thoughts:

Ever since diving into the world of organic makeup and exploration all available brands and options, I look forward to the days when I wear makeup. One thing I’ve learned more about is contouring your face using makeup to bring out key features. To do this, an illuminator is the perfect little helper to accent with.

I apply this illuminator under my eye brows, on the top bridge of my upper lip, on the nose ward part of my eye socket, and on the bridge of my nose. Once applied, I blend it together with the foundation/powder on my face and it makes my face look more dynamic, versus looking flat from having a solid layer of color on my face. Applying this illuminator brings out the parts of my face that the light would naturally hit.

The ingredients are clean and recognizable, making it appeal to me very much. Love this new addition to my makeup bag.

Organic Creme to Powder Blush – Rose

AEOS Skin Care’s Description:

“Enhances the cheek’s natural healthy glow by effortlessly blending into the skin leaving a velvety luminosity.

Ingredients:

Carthamus Tinctorius (Safflower) Seed Oil, Euphorbia Cerifera (Candelilla) Wax, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter) Fruit, Cera Alba (Beeswax), Cetearyl Alcohol, Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil, Copernicia Cerifera (Carnauba) Wax, Tocopheryl Acetate, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Triticum Spelta (Spelt) Germ Oil, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Oil, Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Leaf Oil.
May Contain: Titanium Dioxide (Ci 77891), Iron Oxides (Ci77491, 77492, 77499).”

My Description & Thoughts:

Like I mentioned above, contouring the face using makeup is something that I’ve recently been intrigued by. When applied in a subtle manner in the right spot, blush can help bring out the cheekbones and make them look more defined. A great way to find the natural shape of your cheekbones is to suck your cheeks in and notice the indention that forms on each side of your face–this will make your cheekbones more pronounced and easy to add blush to.

This blush is free of a ton of chemicals that are common to cosmetics. The list of ingredients is very clean and is not harsh on skin. Great product!
