Daily Combination/Oily Towelettes: Organic Tea Tree Oil and Organic Cucumber & Aloe Vera

Blum Naturals’ Description:

“Our Combination/Oily Towelettes are infused with natural and organic botanicals that gently remove eye & face make-up. These soft towelettes will leave your skin feeling naturally clean and pure.

Featured Ingredient:

Tea Tree Oil, also known as Melaleuca Alternifolia, is derived from the leaf itself. It combats oily skin by dissolving oils deep down where the problem begins- leaving your face feeling fresh and supple.

Ingredients:

Aqua (Water), Decyl Glucoside**, Sage Extract*, Salicylic Acid*, Organic Tea Tree Oil*, Gluconolactone***, Sodium Benzoate***, Glycerin*.

*Plant Derived **Sugar Derived ***Naturally Derived.”

My Description & Thoughts:

My family and I like using these wipes a lot. My husband and I each have a pouch of them in our car for easy cleanups. They appear and feel much better than brands of wipes you’d find at a big box grocery store.

They do a great job of getting gunk and grime off of my hands, which is what I mainly use them for. The tea tree oil and aloe vera in each of these wipe types prevents skin from getting dried out, which seems common with cleanup wipes.

I would recommend these to a family or any individual looking for a more natural wipe to have on hand for virtually any body clean up purpose–and since they are pH balanced, they won’t irritate young skin.

My Description & Thoughts:

This serum on one that is right about average all the way around–mainly because of the complex ingredients. The scent reminds me of baby wipes, which isn’t too bad–just clean and fresh smelling.

To me, the best, organic ingredients make for the the most effective products. That thought was solidified after using this face serum. It doesn’t have a great lasting effect as far as leaving skin moisturized. Products with a more pure list of ingredients tend to do a great job of that. This one, unfortunately, seems to have a lot of  “filler” ingredients in the mix.

Can’t say that I’d recommend this because I could recommend so many other facial serums that are the real deal, organic and pure.

Oil Absorbing Facial Tissues

Blum Naturals’ Description:

“Our Oil Absorbing Facial Tissues contains no harsh powders. They instantly soak up excess oil and removes shine from your face without smudging your make up.

Our convenient pack can be used anywhere, anytime, throughout the day.

Ingredients: None.

No Synthetic Preservatives or Fragrances, Paraben-free, No SLS, Alcohol free, Hypo-Allergenic, and PH Balanced. Not Tested on Animals.”

My Description & Thoughts:

This little tissues are an absolute savior and dream for someone with oily skin. I even used these on my wedding day! Especially when wearing foundation and powder, my skin gets increasingly gets more oily as time goes on.

Sometimes it takes two sheets, but the tissues do a great job of getting that greasy, oily look off of my skin without messing up or taking off my makeup. They have a simple ingredient list: none 🙂 and the tissue doesn’t irritate skin at all.

They are also a perfect size to keep in your travel makeup bag or purse. I would absolutely recommend these to anyone, male or female, makeup wearing or not. They are a great “weapon” to have on hand for an oily complexion.

*These complimentary products have been generously provided to me for the purpose of trying them in order to write a review on my experience.

I had a good feeling about this brand after meeting the founders and then another good-feeling-wave after reading the first ingredient list. It’s evident that they trust and utilize plants to elevate the health of skin. As a plant nerd, herbalism junkie, and superfood geek, I really revere this. It fully resonates and aligns with what I look for in skincare.

  1. I’ve used several serums over the years and this is the first one I’ve seen actual tightening on my face and neck, with a definite improvement on my jaw line. I’m amazed because it’s so inexpensive. True it doesn’t leave my skin feeling silky but I have cream for that. I’d give it 4 stars!
