The Wonder Seed Skincare Review

“Formerly known as The Healing Seed, we’ve launched a new brand with a more accurate name.  Yes, our products help heal skin conditions (eczema, psoriasis, rosacea, acne and itchy, flakey scalp) but they do so much more! They’re anti-aging, they improve skin texture, balance oil and give you your most radiantly healthy glow ever! Of course we kept the same, oh so divine formulas that are a product of our 25 years of expertise in natural body care, botanicals and aromatherapy.

Our mission at The Wonder Seed is to nurture, heal and protect skin and hair with a complete line of products rich in virgin organic hempseed oil, the most nutritious oil on Earth. Our formulas contain the optimal amount of hempseed oil for human absorption and are 100% natural, vegan, with no parabens, and no artificial colors or perfumes. We never test on animals and we have an eco-conscious philosophy recognizing the importance of protecting our environment. We’re also socially conscious, always dealing by the highest of fair trade standards and donating to both local and international organizations that help make the world more wonderful.

We consider it a privilege to educate about hemp and all its benefits for our health and for our planet.  From our families to yours, we wish you vibrant health for your most wonderful life!

About Hemp seed Oil:

Hemp seed oil is the most nutritious oil on Earth.  All of our products are made with virgin organic hemp seed oil, drawn by cold pressing the highest-grade hemp seeds for the purest quality.  What makes this remarkable oil so nutritious?

  • Vitamins A, B1, B2, B3, B6, C, D, E
  • Minerals including Calcium, Magnesium, Iron & Zinc
  • All 10 Amino Acids humans need
  • Omega 3 & 6 Fatty Acids in perfect ratio for human absorption so all of the above gets absorbed deep into your skin delivering your most radiantly healthy glow ever.

What benefits will all this nutrition deliver?

  • ANTI-AGING – compensates for lower ceramide levels that deplete naturally with aging, thereby reducing the appearance of wrinkles and improving skin texture
  • ANTI-INFLAMMATORY – reduces inflammation
  • ANTIOXIDANT – combats free radicals that cause premature aging
  • BALANCES OIL – works for all skin types to balance oily, dry or normal skin
  • HEALING – helps heal Eczema, Psoriasis, Rosacea, Acne and dry, itchy scalp.”

The Wonder Seed Skincare Review

I am such an advocate for hemp seeds and oil, so to try more products from The Wonder Seed was a neat thing because this is a brand that highlights and utilizes organic hemp seed oil in all of their products. Hemp oil is expansive in its healing properties and makes these products very dense and rich. I have reviewed a few of their other products here.

These three products are certainly that way–I’d say they are smooth & gentle. The body wash provides a good amount of clean without stripping my skin. The lotion is milky and rich, and is the quench my skin needs after hours in the sun. The hand cream (besides the fact that not every ingredient is organic) offers what I desire in a hand cream. It really soaks into my hands and relieves them of the dry, overworked feeling from being outside gardening.

All three of these products have the “Fresh Jasmine” scent. I would recommend it to someone very into flowery, fresh, sweet fragrances. I am more of a fan of minty, cool scents. Though I enjoyed the Jasmine for a change, it’s not my absolute favorite.

In regards to ingredient quality, here is an example of the ingredient list for the Body Lotion:

Ingredients: Purified Water (Aqua), Organic Virgin Hemp Seed Oil, Organic Jasmine Essential Oil, Organic Jasmine Blossom Extract, Grape Seed Oil, Organic Aloe Vera, Gingko Herbal Extract, Glycerin (Vegetable), Mandarin White Oil, Soluble Natural Plant Collagen, Ginseng Infusion, Organic Green Tea Extract, Neem Oil, Seaweed Extract, Cetyl Alcohol (Coconut Oil Based), Geranium Extract, Caprylic Triglyceride (Coconut Oil Based), Kola Nut Extract, Mate Extract, Guarana Extract, Ginkgo Biloba Extract, Hyaluronic Acid (Natural Plant Based), Vegetable Glyceryl Stearate (Natural Plant Based), Bilberry Extract, Behenoyl Stearic Alcohol, Ascorbic Acid, Hydroxypropyl Guar, Potassium Stearate (Natural Plant Based), Glycyrrhiza Glabra Root Extract, Lauric Oil Extract, Nutmeg Oil Extract, Sea Salt.”

I appreciate that these products contain several organic ingredients. My obvious scrutiny is for that percentage to be a bit higher. They do pay attention to what they put into these concoctions, as they state this, too:

  • “All Natural Formula – optimal blend of Virgin Hemp Seed Oil
  • No parabens, sulfates, gluten, artificial colors or fragrances
  • Jasmine essential oil fragrance
  • 100% vegan & cruelty free.”

Parabens and sulfates are often times the most harsh and harmful chemicals found in beauty and skin care products, so it isn’t trivial that they omit them.

I had a good feeling about this brand after meeting the founders and then another good-feeling-wave after reading the first ingredient list. It’s evident that they trust and utilize plants to elevate the health of skin. As a plant nerd, herbalism junkie, and superfood geek, I really revere this. It fully resonates and aligns with what I look for in skincare.
