About Binka Girl:
“Inspired by growing up on the beaches of Jupiter, Florida with her shelter dog, Binki, Jessica created the simple yet versatile in wear style of binka.
Binki was adopted from a high-kill shelter and given a second chance at life. Her amethyst charm dots the “i” in “binka” and her legacy continues to inspire Jessica to save homeless and shelter dogs and support the No Kill Nation movement. All excess fabric and a portion of binka’s proceeds are donated to various shelters and rescue groups. With your purchase, you are joining binka’s mission to support and save abused and homeless animals worldwide.
Binka’s mission is to support the rescue efforts of homeless and abused animals and to inspire people to adopt animals from local shelters and rescue groups.
You can learn more about binka’s current corporate partner rescue programs and fundraising efforts on our facebook page.
Please visit your local shelter, humane society or rescue group’s website for more info on how you can get involved or adopt your next pet!”
I was (and still am) SO excited to connect with Binka Girl–a brand on a beautiful mission that is based out of my hometown: Jupiter, FL. Supporting Binka Girl warms my heart. The fact that they donate 10% of their orders to local pet shelters is such an incredible thing.
We rescued our dog, Kona from a shelter here in Kansas City called Wayside Waifs. Because of that whole experience, I became even more passionate about not only owning a dog, but getting them from a rescue shelter. My family has had many dogs growing up. Thus, my love for dogs has always been there and we are so lucky and blessed to have the best dog in Kona. We may be biased but she truly is an incredible dog. It just goes to show that you do not have to get a dog from a breeder to have a good one. Rescuing is the way to go!
I digress a bit, but, I believe that Binka Girl’s mission is just as beautiful as their clothing. They have a great thing going down there in south Florida!
I love having pieces of clothing that are unique, that I won’t see everywhere, that feel like home. This hoodie is just that. It makes me think of Jupiter, reminds me to stay anchored in who I am (I seriously love this anchor graphic!) and keeps me comfortable and uniquely outfitted. I also think it’s very figure flattering and I like how it’s a good length (as well as the sleeves).
I can’t think of a single woman I know that wouldn’t love one of these. They would make an awesome gift or just an addition to your own wardrobe. In addition to having a great piece of clothing, it will feel really good knowing you’re help supporting an amazing cause and helping Jessica of Binka Girl support local dog shelters.
I can’t rave enough about this brand. I was lucky enough to be gifted this hoodie–but they also make many other pieces such as bermuda shorts, pants, tees and tanks. It’s truly hard to close because they are all so unique, well made and designed.
Go get some Binka clothing! You’re doing a whole lot of good in doing so.
