Jesica Williams

Since 2012, I’ve been creating digital wellness guides and researching natural beauty products, HIIT workouts, functional exercises, body positivity, self love, and tips helping you explore wellness and feel good.

Welcome to this post: Honest Review Primally Pure Skincare. Are you here because you’ve heard of Primally Pure Deodorant? It is the single best, natural, clean deodorant I have ever used. Use this Primally Pure discount code FEELMOREGOODER for 10% off your order.

I discovered Primally Pure on Instagram while scrolling through some of my favorite green skincare accounts. Too, I had seen their name many times in the clean skincare community before actually looking into their product. As a Clean Beauty Awards Judge in 2021 & 2022, I have had the privilege of trying more products than most in the world of clean skincare.

This experience coupled with almost 11 years of blogging on organic skincare inspired me to write this post: Honest Review Primally Pure Skincare.

My interest in clean skincare products started way back in high school. Thus, I have quite a discerning eye and have high standards. First, I became interested because I was struggling with cystic acne. I tried all of the top acne-treatment protocols and nothing completely healed my skin.

Initially, I was skeptical of Primally Pure only because there are so many skincare brands out there now claiming to be “clean”, but aren’t. However, Primally Pure is the real deal. Founder Bethany McDaniel is passionate about simply, effective ingredients that promote wellness.

After checking out their ingredient lists, I was seriously wowed. Organic ingredients, thoughtfully selected oils, and super nourishing skincare products. To try them out, they were generous enough to send me some products to test out. And below, I’ll run you through all of the Primally Pure products I have experienced (+ and loved!).

Primally Pure Skincare Review

I’m just crazy about these products thus far and how they make my face feel + look. Below, I’ll get into the product details, what it’s good for, and how I use each product.

primally pure plumping serum honest primally pure review

Plumping Serum

About:

Ingredients like green coffee oil and antioxidant-rich astaxanthin promote a dewy complexion. Too, a base of castor & pomegranate seed oil target the goal of collagen production & deep hydration.

You’re reading: Honest Review Primally Pure Skincare.

How I’m Using It:

This serum is definitely dense enough for me to use as an “oil.” Moreover, I normally finish my skincare regime with an oil topcoat final step. But, because of the other ingredients, I like to apply a couple of drops directly to clean skin to get the benefits into my complexion.

Plumping Cream

About:

This creamy potion helps reduce sun damage and delivers vitamins to the skin. Too, this formula brightens, hydrates, and plumps up the skin. Moreover, the plumping effect is partially due to the encouragement of blood flow to the surface. Also, you can ramp up this effect by using the Bian Gua Sha tool after applying one of PP’s plumping moisturizers.

How I’m Using It:

When my skin needs a bit of a brightening boost, I will use this as a night cream. Also, I’ll sometimes use just a tiny bit alongside the serum as a moisturizing layer under makeup. Since it is so densely hydrating, a little goes a long way. In other words, I use less under makeup since I’m seeking moisture without the densely restorative affect of a night cream application.

Plumping Bar

About:

This antibacterial bar leaves skin calm and not stripped. In addition, it packs ingredients like carrot seed oil, coconut milk & pink kaolin clay to nourish & detoxify the skin. Too, rose flower adds even more calming properties for irritated or dry skin. You’re reading: Honest Review Primally Pure Skincare.

How I’m Using It:

I keep this bar in the shower for effectively taking off a full face of makeup. Sometimes, I will first apply a generous amount of the Cleansing Oil (for normal skin) to my face. Furthermore, this method of oil cleansing is a powerful way to lift build-up, makeup, and debris from the skin. Then, pairing that step with lathering up this Plumping Bar make my face perfectly clean and soft. After that, I always follow up with a serum and oil/moisturizer.

Plumping Mask

About:

Raw honey and bakuchiol (a natural, gentler alternative to retinol) give this mask its youth-boosting power. Too, hibiscus, rose kaolin clay, and astaxanthin provided the vibrant red color of this product.

How I’m Using It:

This mask is my pick for when I am going out at night or simply want to wake up a glowy complexion. Moreover, this Plumping Mask helps liven up dull skin and protects it with antioxidants. Also, it helps stimulate blood flow to the surface of skin, which results in a more vibrant look. Furthermore, I apply it to my entire face and down the front of my neck about 10 minutes before showering. To rinse off, I use warm water and an organic hemp cloth.

Deodorant Review Primally Pure

Primally Pure Deodorant is many consumers’ way into this brand. It is revered by many and touted by most who have tried it. And, this is for good reason. Moreover, Primally Pure Deodorant is the cleanest and most effective I have ever used. Too, I have tested it during my sweatiest, stinkiest CrossFit workouts. Not only does it hold up, but the scents are incredible and it doesn’t irritate my pits.

Blue Tansy Deodorant

About:

This formula is focused on the Blue Tansy ingredient, which combats inflammation and calm irritation. Too, finer grain baking soda makes this and all Primally Pure deodorants unique and non-irritating.

How I’m Using It:

This Primally Pure deodorant formula is tied for first as my favorite. Thus, the charcoal is my other favorite. Moreover, blue tansy is known for it’s calming effect on irritated skin. Too, it has a unique, beautifully floral aroma. I actually look at it as more of a unisex scent than lavender or a jasmine scent.

It’s a product I genuinely look forward to using. Effective during the most grueling workouts. Smells great. Non-irritating.

Primally Pure Blue Tansy Facial Collection

Blue Tansy Body Oil

About:

The gorgeous color of this calming body oil is due to the azulene content, which is the blue-hued component of the blue tansy flower. Too, this product is rooted in its fractionated coconut, kukui nut oil, and argan oil blend.

How I’m Using It:

Primally Pure’s Blue Tansy line represents the ideal remedy for red or irritated skin. Thus, I apply this oil when my skin needs a hug. Perhaps, I use this oil most often during the winter months when my skin is dry and cracked. Moreover, I apply 2-3 pumps to dripping wet skin (skip the towel off) from head to toe. But, I do exclude the face and use Primally Pure’s other products for my facial complexion.

After applying the Blue Tansy Body Oil all over, I always swipe my pits with whichever Primally Pure Deodorant I’m into at the moment.

Soothing Cream

About:

Oils such as emu, sandalwood and blue tansy round out this anti-inflammatory formula. Too, Primally Pure’s Soothing Cream is ideal for skin that is prone to redness, inflammation, dehydration, sunburns, eczema, and rosacea.

How I’m Using It:

Although I don’t consider my skin to be sensitive, I do have a rosacea-situation on my cheeks. Thus, I tend to reach for products that are geared towards red skin. Moreover, this product is similar to their plumping cream in terms of density. It’s thick, nourishing and a little goes a long way. Too, I apply this cream to my skin after cleansing and following up with a serum. Primally Pure makes a soothing serum that compliments this product well.

Everything Spray

About:

Ingredients like witch hazel, lavender hydrosol, and apple cider vinegar make this formula antibacterial, antifungal, and antiviral. Too, the addition of magnesium oil supports the body in carrying out over 300 reactions in the body.

How I’m Using It:

I view this product as a very specific skin treatment. Moreover, the ingredients to me are very balancing and are ideal when my skin is angry. Thus, I mist this onto skin after cleansing when I’m experiencing breakouts. Then, I follow up with a few drops of a serum and then a small amount of a cream. At that point, my skin is ready and prepped for makeup. Or, I can also go sans-makeup and be protected with these skincare layers.

Dry Shampoo for Dark Locks

How I’m Using It:

Shampooing my hair only happens about once a week; for me, this has proved to be the magic period of time for me to preserve some of my hair’s natural oils and texture without stripping it away. For the days in between that my scalp starts to look suspect (grungy and oily), this dry shampoo is magic. I just sprinkle some on the oil slicks and rub it in to my scalp with my finger tips. If you’ve never used dry shampoo powder before, you’ll be surprised at how refreshed it makes your scalp/hair look. You’re reading: Honest Review Primally Pure Skincare.

Also worth noting: most generic dry shampoos at the store are packed full of toxic junk and ingredients that are harsh on your skin. They can sometimes cause hair loss and scalp issues. This makes it super important to pick a clean brand!
