About Just the Goods Organic Skincare Brand
Just the Goods seeks to offer affordable vegan products to help them become more widely available, therefore facilitating healthier living as part of increased consciousness about kind living, environment protection, and consumerism in general.
Just the Goods does not test any of its products on animals, nor does it commission such testing, because I believe it both unnecessary and unproven to make cosmetics safer for human consumers. Instead of testing Just the Goods on animals, I test all products on myself, and I am joined in this process by many great friends eager to try out my recipes. I am very concerned with how my products rank at cosmeticsdatabase.com, so the spectrum of ingredients I use have known safety records. The Compact for Safe Cosmetics has acknowledged my choices by granting Just the Goods Champion Status. Beyond that, be assured that I would never include in a product something I wouldn’t consider putting on my own body, or giving to people I care about =-).

My Review on Vegan Face Wash for Acne Prone Skin
This cleanser worked great on my acne prone skin. You can feel this wash thoroughly cleansing and purifying skin. The consistency is a bit watery and suds up as you lather it into the skin. The use of the tea tree, eucalyptus and lavender have a calming and clarifying affect on skin. The only improvement would be if these essential oils were organic–along with the other organic ingredients.
Overall, I am very impressed with this face wash. It’s not easy to come across a product with good ingredients that targets blemishes without drying out skin.
I would recommend this face wash to anyone, regardless of gender, who struggles with acne. It will help clear your skin and will act as a catalyst in helping blemishes go away.
Just the Good’s Description:
A quick look at the ingredients in conventional moisturizing lotion can be disconcerting. Petroleum is problematic enough without a whole bunch of other chemicals such as parabens and carbomers, not to mention artificial fragrances and colours, added to the mix. Yet, those elements constitute the basis of most widely available products and we simply can’t understand why.
It seems the sky is the limit when it comes to selecting oils for use in cosmetics, so our goal when creating a moisturizing lotion was to balance healthier choices and affordability. This is what we came up with:
Avocado oil is rich in vitamins A, D and E, as well as potassium, proteins, beta-carotene and numerous essential unsaturated fatty acids. It also contains a high quantity of sterolins, which is reported to help reduce age spots, help heal sun damage and scars. Avocado oil is furthermore said to increase the amount of collagen in the skin, which facilitates regeneration, particularly in the case of skin that is dehydrated or otherwise affected by difficult climates (i.e. Winnipeg’s dry winters). Some claim that avocado oil can even help to relieve the dryness and itching of psoriasis and eczema.
Apricot kernel oil has a high content of vitamins A, C, and E, as well as fatty acids such as oleic and linoleic acid. It is considered gentle enough to be used in products for babies, and is thus also suitable for mature and sensitive skin. It is well absorbed without leaving a greasy feeling, and can be helpful in calming the discomfort associated with conditions such as eczema and dermatitis.
Aloe vera gel is a powerful moisturizer that simultaneously helps to remove dead skin. It also stimulates the synthesis of collagen and elastin and is known to have a healing effect on burns and other wounds, all of which translates into assisting regeneration.
Tea tree oil helps fight bacteria and keep pores clear.
Distilled water gives this lotion a smooth, fluid texture while ensuring a non-greasy finish, vegetable based emulsifying wax holds everything together, and vegetable glycerine provides staying power.
Complete Ingredient List:
distilled water, persea gratissima (avocado) oil, prunus armeniaca (apricot) kernel oil, exthxylated sorbitan ester (vegetable based emulsifying wax), aloe barbadensis (aloe) leaf gel, vegetable glycerine, melaleuca alternifolia (tea tree) oil, tocopherol (vitamin e).”
My Review of Vegan Facial Moisturizer for Acne Prone Skin
I followed up the wash with this moisturizer and found that it restores the moisture balance on skin nicely. Some might think acne sufferers should shy away from moisturizer, however, this is not founded. I find that the opposite is true–skin needs to have an adequate amount of moisture to heal itself. The only fragrance noticeable is from the essential oils, thus, it smells fresh and herbaceous.
Anyone who tries the wash should get a bottle of this as well, as they work well together to tackle problem areas on skin.

My Review on Vegan Acne Spot Treatment
This stuff is great!! I am happy that I’ve had this on hand through times of the month when my skin breaks out. Like with the wash, my only scrutiny of this spot treatment is that the essential oils are not organic. However, they are naturally derived, which is a good thing. In regards to effectiveness, I can see a noticeable different in my blemishes after applying this treatment a few times–my skin reduces in redness, puffiness, and irritation.
I recommend applying it a few times a day to problem spots, as well as right before going to sleep for optimum effectiveness. This is a product that is great to have in your beauty cabinet for skin “emergencies.”

My Review on Vegan Lip Scrub
This lip scrub tastes good enough to eat. I have not consumed it, but when applied to my lips, I want to lick it off! The brown sugar provides a fantastic grittiness for exfoliation but also makes this concoction amazingly tasty and sweet. Add in the vanilla and this lip scrub is seriously phenomenal stuff.
I recommend this to anyone and everyone–who doesn’t want to make their lips softer, healthier and scrumptious? As a gift, I see this product being perfect as well. I keep my jar in the shower and apply and rinse, making clean up simple.
