Ladybug Jane Organic Lip Balm Review

About Ladybug Jane:

“Ladybug Jane is the brainchild of Jane May Graves – Recovered scientist, actress, and model. The Ladybug Jane character was inspired from a dream Jane had when her mom was diagnosed with stage 4 Cancer.

Her mom’s diagnosis inspired Jane to research the link between the environment, chemicals, and disease. She soon discovered the rampant use of toxic chemicals in personal care products/cosmetics. Inspired by her findings, and her desire to share that information with others. Jane created an award winning animation short, conscious video games and an Eco- health conscious product line. Ladybug Jane is about connecting kids and adults to nature and to understand its wisdom.

Jane has been a lip balm user since she was 5 years old. When she found out what was hiding in lip products she couldn’t find one that tasted good and made with pure ingredients. All she could find at the store was lip products containing petroleum or beeswax. She didn’t like this because both ingredients were drying to her lips and didn’t allow her skin to breath. Therefore, she created a custom formula and made the first ever plant based VEGAN LIP HEALER.

Unlike any other balm, Ladybug Jane VEGAN healing Lip Balms- are all about pure ingredients without Beeswax, Chemicals, Nuts, Petroleum or GMO ingredients. Each balm is handmade with your health in mind using only the finest plant based Vegan and Organic ingredients.

Jane’s mom healed from her stage 4 Cancer by using natural medicine and wheatgrass.

Ladybug Jane’s motto is, ‘It all starts with … One Choice, One Step, One Change.’

History in the Making:
When Ladybug Jane studied chemistry and researched what was hiding in lip products she was shocked!

Why were so many of her favorite fruity lip balms and lip glosses filled with chemically synthetic ingredients like Beeswax, Titanium Dioxide, Propylene Glycol? Citral, Limonene, Petroleum (made from crude oil), mineral oil, dyes like Blue 1 Lake? All of which dry out the skin on your lips.

What is Benzyl alcohol doing in lip products? Do you know its linked to Neurotoxicity, Allergies/Immunotoxicity, Irritation (skin, eyes and/or lungs) according to the research done by Skindeep.

Yuck! Don’t we all naturally lick our lips and therefore ingest these chemicals?

So what was Ladybug Jane to do? There was only one solution….. Create her own clean and natural brand.

Ladybug Jane formulated the first ever Plant based Healing Balms. A truly delicious way to moisturize and nourish your lips the chemical free way.”

Lip Balms

All of these balms are virtually identical in terms of how well they moisturize and wear on lips–they all are tops.

ladybug jane sugar cookie

My Thoughts:

An absolute treat for your senses. This flavor is just as yummy, sugary and rich smelling/tasting as you would imagine. Would be a for-sure hit with young kids!

Ladybug Jane Organic Lip Balm Review wacky watermelon

Wacky Watermelon

My Thoughts:

Bright, fruity, summery, fresh, watermelon-y deliciousness! Watermelon is one of my favorite fruit flavors, so I knew that I would love this one. It does not disappoint, as it leaves this yummy aroma and taste on your lips. Like the sugar cookie, this flavor would surely be a favorite for young kids (and of course, adults too!)

Pomegranate (not pictured on Ladybug Jane website)

My Thoughts:

Unlike the other two flavors, I did not find that this scent/flavor matched up with my own idea of what pomegranate is like. It is pleasant and fruity, though–just not as straightforward as the sugar cookie and watermelon.
