OSEA products are all plant-based and gluten-free. We pride ourselves on our commitment to delivering conscious vegan skincare. Our products are cruelty-free. They do not contain animal-derived ingredients such as lanolin, beeswax, carmine, and beyond. We believe animal rights matter.
Commitment to Clean Ingredients
In 2002, OSEA became the first company to sign The Compact for Global Production of Safe Health and Beauty Products. This is an initiative from the Environmental Working Group. Their mission is to ensure products are “free of chemicals that are known or strongly suspected of causing cancer, mutation or birth defects”. This aligns seamlessly with the ethos behind our products. Our Founder and CEO, Jenefer and Melissa Palmer were actively involved in campaigning. They traveled to Washington DC and Sacramento to meet with legislators. Still, they continue to lobby for safe skincare.

This is one of the first skincare lines that I’ve tried of this kind. Inspired by the ocean, with a high standard for clean ingredients and yet also being focused on results-driven skincare. This means that they are looking to provide you with healthy ingredients as well as performance.
I decided to purchase a few of their products after hearing one of my role models, Gabby Reece, share this brand on her podcast. She recommended OSEA as a local-to-her brand that’s doing skincare right, with a solid commitment to ingredients, results, and their love for the ocean.

Packaging
For what it’s worth, their packaging and branding is beautiful and I love keeping the bottles out of the cabinet in the bathroom. The formulas, especially the Sea Vitamin Boost, are gorgeous both in color and consistency.
I’ve been using these products for the last month (ish) and wanted to give them a good test before sharing my review. I have to say, my actual experience has matched what I anticipated. I had high hopes. turns out, I really love how these products perform, am impressed by the ingredients and appreciate the passion that goes into this brand.
Walking you through each product, I’ll start by saying that the Ocean Cleanser is truly unique. It’s a gentle cleanser that provides a slight tingle and natural exfoliant to the skin via the Vegan Lactic Acid Ingredient. I like to use this cleanser on days when I have not worn makeup. On days when I do wear makeup, I find this works best when paired with a microfiber cloth and/or a double cleanse. To double cleanse, you simply wash once to remove debris and build-up. Then, you cleanse a second time to really allow your skin to receive the benefits of the cleanser ingredients.
Gosh, it’s hard to ignore how pretty the Sea Vitamin Boost is. The Pomegranate extract really lights up the color of this formula. I realize that isn’t the most important characteristic, but it’s an honest observation & an aspect I’ve loved. I apply this right after using the Ocean Cleanser, let it soak in, then follow up with the Undaria Argan Oil. It provides a slight alive/tingle feeling (similar to that from the Ocean Cleanser) due to the natural source of AHA. It’s a way to exfoliate the skin thru a plant compound (with the other exfoliation approach being physical; like from scrubbing).

The Undaria Argan Oil was a brand new concept for me to try. I’ve used many facial oils before, but had never tried Undaria Seaweed before. I got excited just reading about its characteristics and benefits for the skin. This oil effortlessly soaks into the skin. It also provides the perfect quench to prevent dry skin and tightness due to facial dryness. Sometimes, oils can sit on top of the skin and leave a texture that’s sticky or suffocating. That’s not the case at all with this oil. I also love that the size I got comes in a roller bottle, which makes it convenient to apply without getting oil on your hands.

OSEA Malibu Skincare One Month Results
After a month of using these three OSEA Malibu products, I’ve noticed a difference in my skin. There are several naturally active ingredients in the Ocean Cleanser & Sea Vitamin Boost. I’ve noticed a few main things from these. My skin emits more of a glow. Too, my pores are smaller. My cheek redness has gone down. Overall, I feel that my skin looks healthier and more youthful. The Undaria Argan Oil is such an ideal finisher for skin after using the other two products.
Using these 3 products together feels like a luxury experience. Because of the clean curated ingredients, it’s truly a natural spa experience at home.
