Eczema Company Manuka Honey Cream Review

About:

A creamy balm thick in texture and rich in emollients, the Manuka Honey Skin Cream is our top seller because it moisturizes even the dryest of skin. Organic New Zealand Manuka honey is combined with organic tree nut-free oils and beeswax to create this gentle, nourishing Manuka honey eczema product that will not burn or sting the skin. Our “Manuka cream” is a surprisingly soft and creamy oil-based balm, rather than a true water-based eczema cream that’s excellent for soothing and calming irritated skin.

What is Manuka honey and Manuka Oil?

Manuka honey is native to New Zealand and is created when bees pollinate the Manuka bush, a relative of the tea tree. Manuka oil is extracted from the leaves of the Manuka bush. Manuka oil is actually 10 times more potent than tea tree oil. Manuka and tea tree oil are ancient remedies used worldwide for a variety of ailments. Unlike the very medicinal odor of tea tree oil, Manuka oil and honey have a lovely delicately sweet scent. What else makes Manuka honey so incredible? It contains 1,000 times more methylglyoxal than other forms of honey. Methylglyoxal is what gives honey it’s anti-bacterial properties and which makes honey so beneficial.

The level of methylglyoxal in manuka honey is 1,000 times greater than most regular honey.

  • Great for soothing dry skin.
  • Active 16+ Manuka honey from New Zealand – 3rd party lab certified.
  • Hand Crafted.
  • GMO free.

  • Made in Canada.

My facial complexion was been a focus of my self-care since I was a teenager. I battled cystic acne for many years. While that’s a thing of my past and I rarely get breakouts, I do have an uneven complexion due to sunspots and redness (likely related to what I’m eating).

Of course, what I put on my skin also affects how it looks. I use exclusively clean skincare (almost always 100% organic, with the exception of the makeup I wear). Even though my skincare routine is clean and my diet is mostly healthy + nourishing, I’m human and imperfect. There are days I don’t drink enough water, splurge on food here and there and/or drink several rum + club sodas.

While I do my best to not attach any guilt or shame to those things, I do realize that my skin is a reflection of what’s going on inside my body. I’m always open to experimenting with skincare to help reduce my facial puffiness, redness, and uneven skin tone.

I’ve always been aware and a fan of Manuka honey and the myriad benefits it can provide for many aspects of overall wellness. It’s been a long time since I’ve used it on my skin, and I don’t believe I’ve ever used a Manuka honey-based skin care product of this quality. I like that it contains Olive oil (I like to rotate my facial oils and most of them contain a nut-based oil).

I’ve been applying this Manuka Honey Eczema cream to my face (with a focus on my red cheek area) at night on a fresh face after cleansing) for about a week now. I don’t think that the redness on my face is eczema, but I do think it can be helped by a cream that targets inflammation.

So far, I can definitely tell a difference in my skin redness. Very encouraging!

Diet + boozing impacts my skin quite a bit, so I never expect a face product to be a cure-all. but when it makes a noticeable difference, it’s so rad. HONEY FTW

It fully resonates and aligns with what I look for in skincare.
