The Big Berkey Water Filter system is also large enough to keep over a dozen people hydrated with water. You’ll just want to be sure to use all four elements for filtration. Since the Big Berkey holds 2.25 gallons, it will take about 2 hours and 15 minutes for the entire upper chamber to be filtered through down into the bottom chamber. There may be some variances in this, as your filter might be functioning/filtering faster or slower based on different scenarios.
