Nuzest Clean Lean Protein + Supplements Review + Coupon Code!

This post is about my experience with Nuzest and how i’ve incorporated these protein and superfood powders into my routine.

In the vast array of protein brands on the market nowadays, it’s becoming increasingly hard to decipher the good from the bad, the real from the fake and the nourishing from the depleted. I tend to look to some of the top Crossfit Games athletes for supplement ideas when I’m curious to try a new brand. Jamie Greene is a top female Crossfit Athlete competing out of the UAE. I was scrolling through her Instagram feed when I discovered the brand Nuzest. I briefly checked out their website, some of their ingredient lists, and I quickly realized that this brand is doing things right.

Nuzest’s products are vegan, non-gmo, gluten free, soy free, nut free and nut free. The ingredients in their protein powders are intentional and clean. Perhaps the TASTIEST part of this review is that these have got to be some of the best-tasting protein powders I’ve ever tried. They are truly delicious; you feel like you’re drinking a yummy, satisfying shake, not a healthy meal replacement. I stumbled on the insane combination of combining a serving the Rich Chocolate Clean Lean Protein and the Cacao Banana Quick Vita Kick–my goodness. It was so unexpectedly good. It shakes up and combines easily in a blender bottle, giving it a creamy texture without any powdery clumps.

Here’s a snapshot of the products I got to sample! I tried three of the their products in a range of flavors. The products include their Clean Lean Protein, Just Fruit & Veg, and their Quick Vita Kick.

It’s hard to choose a favorite flavor of each product because they are all really stellar in their own regard. However, I will say that I normally tend to reach for vanilla, and their Vanilla Clean Lean Protein did not disappoint.

Here’s a glimpse of the ingredient list of each product along with their macronutrient breakdowns:

ClifBar Organic Energy Food Fuel Packs Review

Clif Bar Organic Energy Food Fuel Packs

Overall Rating: 4 Stars

My Thoughts:

Clif Bar is a brand that I continually work with & have always had gratitude for–as they’re committed to using organic ingredients. Our little blondie adores the kid’s clif bars and we see them as a go-to to satisfy her need for quick fuel and replenishment on the go.

I was so intriued by these fuel packs when they came out! Having healthy fuel that I can take with me was important in the last several months as I was traveling frequently coaching volleyball–and has continued to be important as I commute to and from work everyday & always bring my own snacks & shakes to supplement the green juice or salad I buy for lunch at a local spot. I don’t believe you have to give up healthy & sensible eating altogether when you’re traveling–it just requires a little bit of preparation.

The idea of these packs is excellent–as they truly taste like real mini-meals. All of them taste delectable in their own right. The pizza margherita was particularly interesting, & I enjoyed having the pizza flavor in baby food form (surprisingly).

I love the organic ingredients, the portability and the flavor of Clif Bar’s new Organic Energy Food Fuel Packs. My only scrutiny is that they’re not raw. Raw food doesn’t have as long of a shelf life–I get it from a profit standpoint. However, I’m exponentially more interested in supporting and buying products that put the nutrition aspect as top priority. Fueling my body the best way I know how will always be the major focus of my self-care. To me, that means as much organic & raw food as possible.

They’re off to a fantastic start by using non-gmo, organic ingredients. But, my enthusiasm will be elevated if Clif Bar comes out with some raw fuel. Maybe organic, raw, plant based protein? I’d do a cartwheel for sure 🙂

Oh! & I thought it was major cool that they included organic oregano, basil & tomato seeds from High Mowing seeds–just in time for the start of spring gardening!

My Thoughts:

At first glance at these products, I thought that the convenience of them is nice and the variety of fruits and the veggie (beet) they offer is appealing. As with any food product, I strive for organic and raw as much as I can. Learning that these dried snacks are non-gmo is a big step in the right direction, but I’m looking for more than that. I do see air-dried fruit and veggie strips & chips to be a great, on the go option. That said, I also think that bringing a baggie of fresh fruits and/or veggies can be just as simple.

These Natural Sins snacks are delicious in regards to taste. Even the beet chips have the slightest zip of sweetness, making them delicious and satisfying in their own right.

I’d recommend them to someone looking for a healthier swap for the typically genetically modified potato chips. I’d love to see them made organically–I’d be more “on board” with them in that case.

My Thoughts:

Oh man…..I was SO excited to hear about this new product from Garden of Life. In case you are new to ROO, I’ll let you know now that Garden of Life is one of my very favorite supplement brands. Not only do they make amazing organic & raw products, but they are based in my hometown of Jupiter, Florida (West Palm Beach).

Grain free appeals to me because I just find that I feel better, more clear and less bloated when I limit my grain intake. I don’t seem to have a problem with Garden of Life’s brown rice protein, but I love changing up my protein game–giving my body a different array of nutrients each time.

Briefly, I also think that most problems with grains are the quality and source of the grain and whether it is sprouted or not. In other words, I don’t think grains are horrible. Most mass-produced grains are junk because they are genetically modified and hard to digest. However, is a grain is organic, non-gmo and sprouted, I do see it as having some positive benefits when consumed in moderation (not a huge part of the diet). With cruddy grains being so rampant, sometimes it is indeed helpful to pick grain free options to steer clear of the genetically modified, hard to digest grains that are most common.

The flavor of these Smooth, Grain-Free blends is sublime. It truly is smooth! You don’t need a mixer other than water, if you’re asking me. But, it makes it even more over-the-top rich and creamy when mixed with coconut or almond milk.
