How To Practice Radical Self Love

The Author

Jesica Williams

Since 2012, I’ve been creating digital wellness guides and researching natural beauty products, HIIT workouts, functional exercises, body positivity, self love, and tips helping you explore wellness and feel good.

I’ve been critical of my decisions, my appearance, my deservedness of self belief….for my entire life. Here’s a look into my perspective on How to Practice Radical Self Love.

Finally, I’m recognizing that and I’m not interested in doing that garbage to myself anymore.

Bold, retreated, imperfect, loud, quiet, happy, sad, energetic, tired, confident, defeated. Every flavor that a human can come in. I strive to let life flow through me and stop fighting with who i am. To just be myself without reservations about how you are going to receive it.

I can live with that. And a burden lifts.

How to Practice Radical Self Love: Feeling Good

I know that you want to feel good just like I do. In case you forget (I do all the time); here’s how to keep that train rolling:

-Listen to your inner guide, your inner compass.⠀
-Go to the bathroom when you have to. Why do we hold it?⠀
-Remember that the state of your gut impacts your mood. It’s a real thing that you will be in a better mood when you put good fuel in.
-Exercise is an anti-inflammatory practice. It promotes longevity, detoxification and ramps up endorphins. More good moods.⠀
-Find the humor. Keep on finding it. Laughing is fun and it feels good.⠀
-Feeling good lowers your stress levels which helps literally every single aspect of your health.⠀
-Be around good peeps. People that get you.⠀
-Go outside and stuff.

How to Practice Radical Self Love: Getting Unstuck

You can get stuck on the idea that you should be farther along, fitter, more accomplished, etc. But the truth is that you’ll look back and be like “Damn, I was killing it. What was my problem? Why didn’t it feel like it?” Probably because of comparison and expectations.

Just a reminder to give yourself the credit you deserve. we all have epic stuff we have overcome and we are becoming even more rad by the day just by staying open + showing up.

How to Practice Radical Self Love: Things We Should’ve Been Taught in School

So many years of school that we’re expected to complete, yet we learn an abysmal/nonexistent amount of knowledge about how to:

-Cultivate our own emotional health⠀
-Deal with grief⠀
-Create intrinsic motivation to improve ourselves⠀
-Heal from trauma + relationship baggage + broken hearts⠀
-Say goodbye to people/animals we love when it’s their time to enter the next dimension of being⠀
-Feel safe being ourselves in a world where hurt people are hurting people

Be you, be you, be you, be you, be you.

What’s it mean?

It means hit the mute button on things that derail the path you believe to be authentic and true to you.

Despite your most paralyzing doubts and fears, you are (insanely) beautiful. Treasured. Capable. Special. Limitless.
