Welcome to this post: I Tried Homeaglow – Here's My Review.
For the first time in my life, I had someone professionally clean my space. I was unsure if this was something I needed; but this experience changed my view on it. I was very generously gifted this cleaning session in exchange for my honest thoughts about the service and my experience.
I Tried Homeaglow – Here's My Review

Day of: Homeaglow Cleaning (before photo)
Being new to this whole process, I wasn't sure what to expect. But, it was easy to adapt it to my schedule and pick a day/time that worked best for me. I opted to spend a day at the lake with my dog creating content and soaking up some sunlight.
I was able to leave any pertinent notes for the cleaner ahead of time, like things I didn't want her to worry about or things to focus on. For me, the vacuuming and tub cleaning were both especially helpful. Also, I was able to communicate with her via text during the cleaning to verbalize things I thought of after I left.
Homeaglow allows you to select if you'll be home or not, so if you can't leave – there's an option to select that so the cleaner knows what to expect. For me personally, I loved the excuse to go get outside for many hours and also the idea of coming home to a clean and tidy space.
Day of: Before Photo
I am a busy entrepreneur currently working on multiple big projects, many ongoing projects, some new content work, and also in the process of launching and building out a business with two other women in the circadian health space. I'm not listing that out to brag, I'm listing reasons why I am not always focused on cleaning and tidying my apartment.
However, I've noticed how having my space clean and organized helps my workflow. It also helps my content as I can locate my products more easily to photograph/video and my videos have less of a dirty or cluttered background. It even helps me mentally to have a space that feels open, flowing, and taken care of.

First Time Using a Home Cleaner
I'm an active gal with a black lab rescue mix dog – we both really live in and use this space to the fullest. I don't always take my shoes off at the door if I'm in a hurry, I leave grease on the stove, and I get to the shower/tub and toilet when it seems like it needs it. I feel like I'm somewhere in between clean freak and slob. I see the value in having a clean space; however I don't stress about it. Especially since I run my own business, I know that the stress of having a perfectly clean space on my own is not something I'm capable of doing right now. I also don't desire to spend the extra time I do have on cleaning. I do the basic cleaning I need to and then I'd much rather be out sunbathing, paddleboarding on a lake, walking my dog Kona, playing in one of my 4 rec volleyball leagues, or exercising. I'd simply just rather put my time elsewhere. And I have a feeling a lot of busy business owners can relate to that.
I also know how it can be hard to ask for help or seek help. I know the concept of having a home cleaner is not new – but since it was my first time, I've been reflecting on how investing in something like this can really free you up time-wise (as well as give you some mental space back). I understand it now and appreciate how a company like Homeaglow exists. It was really helpful to have them also automatically assign a cleaner to my needs. I didn't have to do any additional looking or researching. As long as you know a time/day that works for you – you're set.
After Photos (hello tidiness and clean + open spaces!)

Candidly and Genuinely, It Was So Positive
I didn't have many expectations going into this – but one thing that stood out was how genuine, kind, communicative, and relatable the cleaner was. You could tell she took pride in doing a good job. And to me, that immediately reflected on Homeaglow to me – like they really have high quality humans on board doing the cleaning. I know for some people, they might overlook this part – but to me the human part of businesses is actually of huge significance and importance to me. And, it leaves an imprint. She even showered my dog with kindness and pets when we got back from the lake. Top to bottom, the interaction felt like I'd hired a friend.
Additionally, she did so much detail-oriented organizing with things that I didn't even think about. PR mail that I had piled up for my work in natural health blogging, skincare products I'm testing scattered all over my bathroom vanity/counter. So not only did I walk in to clean carpet, clean windows, clean baseboards, pristine tub, etc. – but I had those things organized as well as blankets folded, dishwasher running, dirty dishes washed. It made me realize how much time I actually put into those things that I got back on this day.
Would I Recommend Homeaglow?
If you've read the rest of this post, then it's easy to see that it's an easy yes for me. Consider me converted to the home cleaning, Homeaglow side. On top of the fact that I believe we deserve to get the help we need – I think this could be especially helpful for new parents or those that are in a season of life where their extra capacity to keep a clean home is lower. I get it – that's me right now. Not to mention that I have a few multi-day, cross-country road trips coming up. So, I understand physically not being at your residence to do some of the things that need to be done to keep a place up.
