Cold Buster
About:
“Back in time for cold & flu season, is our caffeine-free immunity blend to relieve stress and promote health. Our Cold Buster with Tulsi Leaf, aka holy basil, is based on a recipe for a natural cold cure from Europe. This rooibos-based tea is packed with an array of healthy constituents to help warm and fortify you from inside. High in Vitamin C, with lemon and orange peel, hibiscus and rose hips, it also contains herbs and Tulsi to soothe cold symptoms and control coughs.”
Grasshopper Green
About:
“This refreshing blend consists of peppermint and Hojicha, a roasted Japanese green tea. Chocolate mint grasshopper confections capture the essence of this tea. There’s no flavoring involved, but the peppermint leaves pull chocolate notes from the roasted tea resulting in a guilt-free decadent taste and aroma. Hojicha is naturally lower in caffeine than other green teas, while peppermint aids with muscle relaxation and digestion. Together they create a crisp body that is relaxing when hot and refreshing when iced. This brews into a clean, amber liquor with an inviting smell. The roasted green tea creates a nutty base that is brightened by the vibrant peppermint leaves.”
Big Chill
About:
“This mouthwatering hibiscus mint blend is the large leaf version of Chill Out, now available in bulk! It’s truly amazing made either hot or iced. It can also cold brew within just 10 minutes – made easy with Steep & Chill or Steep & Go! The tart hibiscus petals are sweetened with licorice root while peppermint adds a refreshing lift to this well-rounded, full-bodied brew. Naturally caffeine-free, the Big Chill offers a great way to stay hydrated any time of day!”

My Thoughts:
I am a seasoned, enthusiastic coffee drinker, but have only recently really gotten into tea as the occasional substitute to my coffee habit. I was stoked to hear from The Tea Spot thru Instagram and though I loved the sound of their teas, the Tea Tumbler REALLY got my attention–it’s such a cool way to take tea on-the-go in a glass + stainless steel container. You can get one for yourself here. They come in several other colors–which make awesome gifts for your favorite tea drinker (or non-tea-drinker-that-you-convert).
In regards to the teas, I find myself reading the ingredients in the blends and getting excited for what they’ve put together. There are some really delicious flavor combinations and many that are caffeine free–which I find is perfect to drink at nighttime before bed.
I have created my own hibiscus + peppermint duo at home before, so was stoked to see that the Big Chill celebrates those two flavors. It’s my favorite of the bunch as a caffeine free option. For a caffeination kick, the Ginger Peach is my favorite–as I could drink peach tea until I’m blue in the face.
All of the other blends are awesome and provide their own set of health perks–pretty much all of them boosting detoxifying effects on the body. Who doesn’t want/need that? Each of them has their own set of flavor characteristics–& when you’re shopping for you perfect tea on their site, check out their descriptions. They do a great job of breaking each tea down for you to help you decipher which one suites you best.
It feels good to drink something tasty and feel how positively it impacts my body. When I am drinking herbal tea regularly, I can definitely tell that my energy is sustained throughout the day, my skin is happy & glowing and my digestion is soothed and regulated.
Not all of the teas they sent me appear to be organic, but on their site there is a plentiful amount of organic options (even a Chocolate “O” Tea–whoa!).
I’m amped to have discovered this brand–what a good find!
