About:
Skin Mind Body essentials is a company that is comprised of three brands: Lotus Moon, Detox Rx, Plain Jane Beauty and Son (for men). I was eager to get my hands on these products because their website descriptions immediately impressed me. Lisa of SMB was lovely to connect with–she sent over some great, deluxe sized samples of Lotus Moon & Detox Rx items for me to try, evaluate and write about. I am also loving the tote and Lotus Moon glass bottle that Lisa sent me! I have been using more glass containers versus plastic to avoid BPA, so this bottle came at the perfect time.
Here is a bit of background about Lotus Moon:

Unscented Conditioner
Lotus Moon’s Description:

HEALTHY conditioner goes back to the basics. When all your hair needs is gentle conditioning then this is your go-to treatment. A low pH balanced conditioner helps to restore hair elasticity, reduce dryness and breakage, maximize color retention and boost shine.
Aloe vera juice, lavender and chamomile hydrosols help to soften your tresses while rosehip seed oil and wheat protein help to nourish and repair.
Although this is an unscented conditioner, meaning we did not add any essential oils to it, you will still notice that is has an inherent scent that is simply from the ingredients themselves. We do not add other chemicals in order to create a “neutral” scent. Many people want an unscented or fragrance-free product but do not realize that often times chemicals are added to remove whatever scent remains. We do not do that, so what you will smell is the natural scent of the ingredients themselves.

My Description & Thoughts:
The two most important things to me in looking for a conditioner that I will keep in my shower are: great, organic ingredients and the conditioner’s ability to detangle the ends of my hair. This conditioner has both of those qualities.
The fact that it is unscented is nice for a couple reasons. First, because it makes it more friendly for male & female usage and second, because it enables you to add whatever essential oil to it that you’d like. Having that creative ability is nice.
It is hard to find a conditioner that meets my two specs, so I’m happy to have come across this great Lotus Moon conditioner!
Green Tea & Lavender Cleansing Milk

My Description & Thoughts:
Like cleansing lotions that I’ve tried, this cleansing milk does not have much lather to it, as you’d imagine. It is more of a soothing, cleansing, hydrating way of cleansing skin.
For a more thorough, yet nourishing clean, I combine this milk with my favorite organic bar soap to clarify my skin more entirely.
Wonderful ingredients are to be expected with any Lotus Moon product–how refreshing. This cleansing milk is no exception.
I appreciate this milk in that it mixes up my showering routine a bit, which is nice at times. The green tea & lavender scents together make for quite a therapeutic experience when combined with warm shower water–just lovely!
Detox Rx

My Description & Thoughts:
I’m all about detoxing using organic, natural methods. This fiber gives my daily routine an added boost. I have been adding it to my smoothies and elixirs that I make–it has a very mild, earthy flavor the mainly just makes any concoction more robust and thick.
It helps keep the bloat out of my stomach and regulates my digestion. For me, a healthy tummy often means a healthy overall feeling and mindset. Adding this powder to smoothies also makes for a more satisfying drink. Sometimes, I just mix it with water and throw it back down the hatch for a more direct and speedy way to drink it.
This is a great detox product that I highly recommend. I love seeing the organic label on a supplement like this!
