Dang Foods Coconut Chips Review
“Our Dang Story
Dang is named after my mother, who grew up eating food from some of the best chefs in the world: Bangkok’s street vendors. One day, she passed on her recipe for Thai Lettuce Wraps just like she used to have as a college student. I found myself involuntarily snacking on one of the ingredients – Toasted Coconut. It had a strong, sweet aroma and a very satisfying crunch. I immediately called my family, who have been importing goods to the US for more than 30 years, and with that, our company was born.
Dang’s motto is “Dang, that’s good!” We are forging ahead fast, bringing you unconventional culinary delights from around the globe. We’d love to hear from you – visit our Contact page and drop a line!

Made from the nutrient-packed copra, or meat of the coconut, our toasted coconut chips are a delicious snack that provides loads of energy. The meat is sliced out of mature coconuts then gently toasted until golden brown with a dash of sugar and salt. The toasting process brings out the natural sweetness of the coconut meat and turns it from white to golden brown. Professional tasters detect notes of vanilla, yogurt and pear. What do you taste?
Since copra is high in fiber, you don’t have to eat a lot to feel full…a few handfuls and you’ll be good to go. We think toasted coconut chips are the perfect snack because they satisfy your snack cravings quickly and give you a boost of energy.
Many cultures around the world have been subsisting on coconuts for generations, and rightfully so. This miracle tree nut has so many uses, it might just be the most versatile crop plant in the world. The husks can be burned to produce electricity, the juice is delicious, light and packed with electrolytes, and the meat can be eaten raw for a snack, pressed into coconut milk, or toasted for a truly special experience.
While great on their own, toasted coconut chips can be used to enhance other foods. Try them with:

Dang Foods Coconut Chips Review
I am a huge fan of all things coconut. Food, skin care, etc. If it’s coconut, I almost always enjoy it. It’s not a bad affinity to have, as coconuts contain healthy fats and are very nutritionally dense.
These Dang Coconut Chips (I have to be honest, it didn’t occur to me that “Dang” was a name at first–I just thought they were dang cool!) are the first of their kind that I’ve seen. There are all kinds of coconut flour, coconut flakes, coconut shreds on the market, but not many (if any–I don’t know of any that I’ve tried) that are toasted coconut chips. They are essentially wide strips of coconut that are toasted to a golden brown color. They are such a great little healthy snack to have on hand when hunger strikes. These bags fit perfectly in my purse.
Taste-wise, these chips are absolutely dangerous! In other words, I could eat the whole bag in the blink of an eye. They are so incredibly tasty and satisfying. I ate them mostly by the handful, but also loved them sprinkled on top of my morning smoothie, as they add a little sweet, nutty crunch.
Dang Coconut Chips are naturally gluten free and are also non-gmo. Organic is my standard for things that are staples in my pantry, therefore, I wouldn’t regularly buy these again until they noted that they used organic coconuts for their chips.
These chips get my very highest taste rating, but I see room for improvement by way of using coconuts that are organically grown. The label on the mini sample of lip balm does indicate that Dang uses organic coconut oil in their concoction–awesome!
